Celebrating God's Faithfulness since 1871.
Who are we?
First Christian Reformed Church has been faithfully preaching the gospel and serving Jesus in the town of Orange City since 1871. We believe that Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life; the only name given by which we can be saved. He is the hope of the world and the purpose of our existence. We want you to come to know him and love him as we have and to experience the joy, peace, and hope which comes through faith in him. We are excited to have the opportunity to share who we are and what we believe with you.
Our Mission:
First Christian Reformed Church’s mission is
to make and multiply fully mature disciples of Jesus Christ
through gospel worship, discipleship, fellowship, missions and deeds,
as we spread a passion for His glory locally and to the ends of the earth.
Our Vision:
First Christian Reformed Church desires
to see our community, nation and world captivated
by the person and work of Jesus
so that God is glorified, Jesus is magnified, and faith is multiplied.
Fall Sermon Series: “THE BIGGEST STORY”
Discovering how we fit into the world by looking at the big story, the biggest story, through an in depth study of Genesis. From the creator to the creation, a world ordered and filled, to a people made in God's image as regents and representatives, made male and female, made with a purpose, and made very good. This series will explore our place in the world, what went wrong, and the promises that come from our good God through his son Jesus Christ.
ALL THINGS GROUP KICK OFF (for young adults 18-30)
“All things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together… For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.” We want to see all things, including all of our lives in all the things we do, be found in Christ and for Christ and to Christ.
As we welcome Dordt and Northwestern students back to town, we will begin with a kick off event at church on Tuesday, August 26 at 7 pm. We will have an ice cream social, games, prizes, and get oriented for another year.
We will meet every Tuesday night at 7, continuing our look at the book of Acts and how God is continuing to act in the world and in the church by his Son and through his Spirit - including in us and through us. Once a month we pause and discuss a current issue in depth as we try to understand how all things are for Christ and figure out our place in the world.
